Conference Call Scheduled for December 23

CALGARY, Canada - December 18, 2003 - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN), a global provider of broadband wireless communications products and technologies, today announced that audited consolidated results for the year ended October 31, 2003 will be released on Monday, December 22, 2003 after the market close. This is a change from the previously announced date of January 14, 2004.

Wi-LAN will hold a conference call to discuss the 2003 audited consolidated results on December 23, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. MDT (11:00 a.m. EDT, 8:00 a.m. PDT).
